don't be too hard on your parents,
I'm sure they are well aware of the lunatics and dangers that chat rooms pose and are just trying to protect you.

If it makes you feel better none of my kids are allowed on chats either and the oldest is 15.

If it makes you feel beter - I DON't go into chat....

Mostly because I can't keep up....
Never know who is talking to me or NOT....

Anyway - I understand, your folks want you to be safe, and look on the bright side, you can still browse and post in the forum!!!
Edit to add: Before you start thinking I'm REALLY OLD, I'm UNDER 40
