No, I did not send for the postmortem.If I remember right you just had one of your chickens dying of maybe pox. Did you send her in for a post mortem?
There could be various reasons for this, i.e.:
- Vitamin deficiency
- worms/parasites
- viral infections
- ingestion of toxines
- mouldy food
so should I deworm ?
I am giving vitamins since a longlong time now to all my chickens as it’s extremely hot in Peshawar, Pakistan-where I live....
My goodness! That’s scary!Thorough de-worming would be the first thing to do as the vitamins will not work if worms absorb them.
Secondly inspect the chickens and the coop for lice and mites. Bloodsucking mites can transmit diseases and leave a chicken almost bloodless overnight.
