Hello I am new to the broodyness. I have a horrible broody lady to the point of plucking out her chest feathers.

I have no rooster
She has been laying on the nest for several days will make a growling sound and all her feathers go out. She has let me get the eggs everyday and she will let other ladies lay in that nest. But now she is staying in it at night and all day even with no eggs and today when I picked her up all her chest feathers are gone.
What to do for this little lady? I do not want to break her the way where you move her to a cage.
Should i move her inside in a big tote or just leave her be if so how long will she stay like this?

Its really best to break her off you aren't going to let her hatch. Its detrimental to their health. If you don't like the idea of a cage, put frozen water bottles under her, I've also heard of dunking their bellies in cold water. I've never dealt with a broody until recently, but I'm letting her do her thing. Maybe someone else will come along with ideas on how to break her

Oh no....
Do you move her from other ladies while you do the frozen veggies?
