Are they always noisy?......Yes, they are good audible watchdogs, they will "go off" when a car enters the drive, a stray dog comes around, a fox, when you wear a different hat, when a cloud covers the sun, when they find a bug............
Can you hear them in the house?.........Yes, even when the A/C is on and TV is blaring, they are at the door yelling about finding the "leftover" catfood the Missus put out for the cat. (they chased the cat away to get her food)
Do Guineas and chickens get along?.......They do at my place, they roost together in the Coop and in the Morning the Guineas fly out of the run to do bug patrol while the chickens remain in the run. Guineas can harass the chickens to point of death, but I raise them together from keets and chicks in the same batch. I place the Guinea eggs in the incubator and place the chicken eggs a week later to have them hatch together. I have also incubated chickens timed to hatch when the Keet order arrived to raise them together. I have also placed guinea eggs under a broody hen to hatch and raise with the combined flock.
The chickens actually do a better job protecting and raising keets then the Mama Guinea does here in the Midwest where the keets will die of morning dew hypothermia if left to the guineas, while the Mama Hen will shelter them under her.
Here you can see the Guineas and Chickens as a combined flock weathering our snowstorm this year
