so I recently added 4 chickens to my eggsisting flock. I did the whole 2 weeks getting to know each other. One week spending 2-4 hours with each other before keeping them together. They have been spending the last month grazing in the same area. They don’t peck at each other but they haven’t merged with each other as one flock. They are all above 15weeks old. One of the 4 will perch with the old flock, but the other 3 either sit on the ground or in the laying box together.
I have been placing hem on the perch every night for a little over a week. I have 3 sqft per bird of perch space.
Is there something I’m not doing, over looking, or should do?

So how many total birds please and can you post a photo of your coop

I bought a group of day old chicks and then bought another group just 2 weeks later. Even though they’ve been together since then, they’ve always kinda kept themselves separate. The older ones are always together and the younger ones are always together. They sleep segregated that way too. It’s kinda interesting.
