We had to rescue our boy back from a bad situation and his legs were going pale as they had barely any grass, yellowing back up here after a couple of weeks at my son and daughter in laws living his best life now.Oh, I didn't know that's how that works.

At first glance, the feathers you noted look shredded, not pointed.This is what I would be concerned with. Looks like male hackles and male saddle feathers starting to come in.
