Will the babies be big or small? I have a bantom rooster and when the ladies(barred rocks and x's) are older would like to hatch my own chicks, as I already have a rooster will they be big like the mom?

Depending on how small the rooster is compared to the hens, he may not be able to fertilize the eggs. Often times a bantam will go through the motions of mating with standards, but he isn't in the position to be able to actually provide the service...

My rooster is a bantam and he can't "perform" with any of my hens. Every single time I use their eggs for cooking, I check them to see if they're fertilized. I have yet to have a fertile egg from my own flock.

My banty roosters surely do try, yet it is obviously a hopeless feat for them to accomplish. We have watched for hours, they never get anywhere near the vent.

I have bantam Polish Roosters that cover my standard size Polish hens just fine, but I have never even seen them try to cover my large sexlink hens...
