I think this is allowed, since it is in the buy-sell-trade forum. If it works well maybe I can make some for other states! Anyways I thought it would be handy to have a place to post any ads for free rehoming situations, so you can see everything available in one place. If you are willing to take in certain animals, please feel free to post. If you know of anyone who is rehoming, feel free to tag them here! Please try to not clutter it up with unnecessary things! Please PM if interested in something and edit or delete your posts if you are no longer rehoming/looking. I hope this will help animals in need of new homes find them!

I think that would make it easier than going through all the posts and be state specific. Of course someone on the border could check border states. Sounds good. Might there be a forum with separate sub-forums?

Ok, I’ll make the first post:

If anyone has any bantam hens, pullets, or chicks (preferably not hybrids) up for rehoming, I would be interested. Feel free to PM me.
I don’t have any bantams, but I do have a whole flock that needs a good home (or homes) if you happen to know of anyone :). I’d be happy to drive them down to NC.

I don’t have space for a whole flock, unfortunately! You’re more than welcome to post an ad for them here, if you are willing to drive them down here.

Apologies, I originally posted this in the wrong forum so if you’re seeing it twice - I owe you a Pepsi!

Oh my gosh, TOO MANY ROOSTERS! HELP!
I’m a relatively new chicken owner (inherited a small flock a few years ago) and I grossly underestimated the sneakiness of hens to build up a clutch in a completely inaccessible place that you don’t find until too far into brooding to feel ok about throwing out the eggs…. So now I have roosters. A lot of roosters. And my ratio is way, way, way off. My hens are really suffering at this point and some of the roosters GOT TO GO.
I’m quite fond of the roosters except for their tendency to rile each other up and go after one poor hen or another… ugh. But otherwise they’re quite nice. Some are friendlier than others but none aggressive towards adults or children. Okay, one has pecked my shoe a couple times when I’m messing with a hen but no real intent there. They’re also absolutely beautiful. Mostly a mix of Easter Egger (sneaky mom), silkie, and bantam Minorca, with a few whose mom was probably either silkie or bantam Australorp.
Obviously I’m fond of these fellas but they need new homes. Anyone interested in one or two? I’m in Smithfield, NC and willing to help transport etc if needed!
Pics of some/most of the boys:
