Just found two young pullets in our "youngin" flock sleeping with them. Whoever dropped them off should have consulted us first! We have enough chickens as it is we don't want anymore!!!
If you are reading this and you are/may know who is responsible, please take them back!

Thank you ~ Cara Watola

Is it possible that they are strays? That is so strange that someone would drop off chickens like that. Never thought about that before.
Good luck.

We don't know where they could have came from though. My dad thinks that someone got them as chicks, like pets, but once they grew up the people didn't want to take care of them anymore and left them here.. They came right when we went in to eat dinner, around 6-7 o' clock. At 7:30-ish my mom went outside to close the coop door, and she saw a darker chicken on the floor of the coop.. I went to go see and that dark one plus an unfamiliar new hampshire was roosting with them.
The darker red has green shiny feathers and it's pitch of voice is kinda deep, I suspect it may be a boy but I'm not sure.

I think my mom has grown attached. But I can ask. In Palmdale? Huh, don't know alot with poultry out there.
