I live in Sheffield lol. I get my supplies from tinternet too. I must have a quick whinge about the cost of shipping. It's always £7 even if you buy a tiny little thing that'd fit into an envelope with a second class stamp!

I have what's in my signature. Already thinking about hatching more as I spot lots of potential roos in the bunch of chicks

I have two silver Sebrights: one male, one female
1 female yellow pencilled Friesian
1 male citroen laced Barnevelder
4 Araucanas: 2 male? lavenders, 1 white? female? and 1 don't know what colour and maybe female too
3 blue silkies, perhaps 1 female and 2 males
2 lemon millefleur sablepoots: 1 male, 1 female.

4 have names: Orion, Jameelah, Sparrow and Aquarelle. I'm waiting to see who stays and who goes before naming any of the others.

Hi there,
I'm from North East Yorkshire, is that close enough. I'm a newbie to BYC and spending too much time the forum. I've uploaded some pics and entered a contest with my Orpingtons and got 1st place woopee.
I got my chooks in July, so they're about 6 months old. I have Buff, Black and Splash Orpingtons and 2 Polish (Frizzle and golden lace).
Splash lays 6 eggs a week and thats it until Spring I expect.
They have the free run of my garden. People say "but the'll ruin your flowers". My hens are my flowers.

this website is amazing andi spend too much timeon here too my life seems to revolve around it at the moment !

yor chicks sound amazing - i want polish my self but i dont think they would last in my garden with the two BO as they can be quite nasty to new commers as i found out recently with my purchase of two warrens ! they jsut about get on now , its felt like aneternity waiting for things to calm down.

and the same on teh garden front itlookslie we havemoles withthem digging holes everywhere and noflowers left at all they have gone on to the acer trees who are now stripped bare!

i have one BO just started again with one every 3 days and one of the new warrens have started anddoing well nearly oneeveryday from her!
