I just got a place right outside of Carson City...and also just got 15 EE from Ideal.

Howdy!

So...any of you have 'real' Ameracauna pullets you'd like to get rid of? (Reading this board means I know I've got EE's since they're from Ideal.)

Or maybe some Black Marans? There's a nice guy in Stagecoach that has some chickens...he just emailed me.

And (why do I feel like a 13 year old girl gossiping in the hallway???) there are some chickens behind the movie theatre in Carson City!

Ha. OK. I'll breathe now.

(did I mention I am in visiting my new chicks every hour on the hour? Nah...not excited about this new hobby. Not at all.)

I am new to Washoe Valley and to raising Chickens but I am loving it so far. I have 3 chicken, 1 Rooster, 9 baby chicks and 1 baby Bantum. I had 2 but one poor little girl died this morning. I am looking for another Bantum chick to replace her. I am so excited about raising these little girls and boys. My husband built me a beautiful box that I could have right in my living room. It has wire in front so I can sit and watch them and a wire top with hinges so I can have easy access to feed, clean and visit. If you have any suggestions I am ready to learn. Thanks so much.
