I’m currently taking any unwanted chickens. Roosters, hens any age. We’re processing these to feed families in need in the southern Fauquier area.

Well, this just started as I acquired some unwanted birds and had a need to cull some due to age, temperament, etc. I had already raised and processed 15 meat birds for my own family this summer. We had plenty but seemed a waste to just cull them.

I made the first delivery this past Sunday. While it's not a ton of food it was good to hear that receiving 2 chickens and a dozen eggs would take a little bit of the pressure off a single-earner family for that week.
