The ducks will be fine to sleep on the coop floor, but in the run, you want to have all their pool and stuff to play in. I have seen some designs where they use river rock and even French drains in the duck area so it can be hosed off, and also so the whole run and pool do not get so muddy. You can definitely lean right into building and awesome duck / chicken habitat! Enjoy!

Just for your awareness when the ducklings grow up if you have any drakes you do not want to house them with your chicken hens. If they attempt to mate them they can kill them.

Hey 😃 thank you, I will definitely take that advice seriously. I care a lot for my chickens and do not want them hurt or killed. I have no clues as to the genders of the ducks yet ofc, and I cross my fingers that they're all females, because i love them already and I will put a øot of effort into them getting as tame as possible. That being said, I have an open invitation from the sweet lady with sheep and ducks to swap if they're drakes. I feel so very grateful for that 🥰
