My broody girl Charlee is on day 14-15 right now..
Today when I came home I found one of her eggs cracked and the embryo had already passed. I was unable to try to use some candle wax and salvage the egg... sweetest little black chick was inside
Not only did she lose a baby today but she was also kept off of her nest for about 8 hours at least today. When I got home the eggs were cooled off and she absolutely spent her entire afternoon trying to get back to her eggs. I had opened the sand run to let them have some time in their grass run today but she jumped the fence and couldn’t get back in.

The four eggs remaining are still alive - up to this point is this a good sign they will be ok?

If they were viable, given that you are experiencing 'summer' temperatures, they should still hatch.
That’s what my husband said but seeing as this is our first time hatching chicks EVER we both know very little when it comes to incidences like this. Thanks

One of our interns unplugged an incubator one night when they were cleaning up, they did not notice until the next morning...this was in January so it was cold in the office overnight. The next morning it was plugged back in and the eggs hatched on time with a 98% hatch rate. Never give up, these little babies are tough.
