I am extremely new to any sort of poultry. I've been interested in having a flock for a while now, but am about to get my oppurtunity in a couple of months when we purchase a new home, that just conveniently happened to have a chicken coop already.
As a child, my grandfather had chickens on his farm. I always found them fascinating. Just recently I got out of the exotic bird breeding buisness and am longing for an avian of some kind. I'll wait until we move into the new house, but as soon as we do, I have a White Leghorn Rooster and a White Leghorn Hen to start working with.
I figured I ought to join a forum, because in the past they have come in handy and I love having a support group for my interests.
Besides enjoying birds, I enjoy practicing my religion, smoking cigarettes, creating art work, cleaning house, and much more.
My household consists of myself, my mother, my fiance, and my great-aunt. It is just a temporary situation, and soon my mother, my fiance, and I shall move next door onto our own little 5 acres of heaven.
I typically have more pets than I do at the moment, but currently I have:
Artemis - Cat
Belladonna - Cat
and Tigger, who we got yesterday - Dog
I am a homemaker and I enjoy being such. I will enjoy getting to know you all, and learning some things as well.

Once you start with chickens there will be no turning back lol. Then there is ducks, turkeys etc
