Not broody hen laying LARGE broody poop

Hi,

I have a hen that has that acts normal, but at night won't poop (much) on the roost. Instead she holds it in and then in the morning she will wait till she is let out of the coop and only then will she poop in the grass. she will drop the world's largest poop like the size of the palm of my hand. Every morning I go to scoop it up and I want to hurl chunks.

She poops like when my girls are broody. I know it's not normal.... medical or just a quirk with this chicken? She has been doing this for about 6 months.... otherwise she looks good and her eggs are good.

Perhaps she's just too good to poop like the other hens and prefers her "premium" pooping spot?

Well, that certainly sounds interesting....However, with the length of time this has been going on, I don't think I'd worry about it too much, as long as she is acting fine. Someone might have insight on why she does it, but I wouldn't worry about it, IMHO.

Not that unusual...have had a few birds that appeared to wait to be let out of the coop in the morning to drop huge turds.
