Not laying ….different behavior noted

3 year old hens haven’t laid eggs for five days and they are all of a sudden pooping in the nesting box??? I have cleaned it several times and I know the temps have been lower…should I be concerned?

It could be their winter break

They are roosting in the nests. When mine roost in the nests, they poop there. Check your roosts for parasites.

Otherwise, block the nests just before dark, open them in the morning.
