Since hurricane Harvy my chickens stoped laying. Then I started to get only 1maybe 2 eggs a day. Then I was getting 4 once in a while. But now they are barely giving me 1. I have 6 dominickers that are only 2 yrs old. Please help. Should I go get some more chickens or should I wait.

That's what I thought happened. That Trama from the hurricane we all went through triggers them into molting. But that was in August Sept. But now that it is cold and they are still molting.

If they are still molting, this would be the reason they are not laying. Almost all hens stop laying completely during molt so they can use their resources to grow new feathers.

It won't hurt to provide them with poultry vitamins once a week and give them some extra protein during this time.
