Not new but always learning

Hiya, Libertee, and welcome to BYC! :frow

I breed silkies here and get a few frizzles, but only keep two, a rooster and a hen, both in separate pens. It's great if you only have one, as it's not healthy to breed two frizzles together.

We're glad you're here!

Hi my name is Libertee. I'm in Kansas. I have had a small backyard flock since 2016. I've learned alot but new situations always come up!
I currently have 7 hens and a rooster. 1 faverolle hen, a faverolle cochin mix and 6 easter egger / black australorp, cream legbar, black copper maran, and or silver laced wyandotte mixes that I received as chicks from a local person. One turned out to be a frizzle.
My children are grown, but I have 4 granddaughters that keep me busy. That is actually how I started keeping chickens because the girls wanted them.
I hope to find answers to some things I can't find in books or on Google. And I hope to be a help to others. Thanks for adding me!
Hello & welcome 🗽
