Not quite a new member

I am sooo excited! I was a chicken "Herder" from 2008 until 2012, but have had to go chickenless due to living in an apartment.

But beginning the day after Thanksgiving, I am once again living in a rural community, with room for chickens and meat rabbits.

I am already looking at breeds that I salivated over, (Speckled Sussex and Swedish Flower Hens, via the Sheriff Mary O'brien)

Sorry, I just couldn't hold it in any more. This Thanksgiving will be for the Backyard Chickens that I am once again able to "herd."

I can sorta say I feel your previous pain. We recently had to cull almost half the flock due to we think mareks

When you get those flower hens, write a review! I have been thinking about getting some of those for a while.
