Not sharing roost

I have one rooster and 21 hens. I have a nice long roost that they can all fit on. It is all the same height. Rooster causes no problems. Some of the hens are fussy and peck at the other hens and some of the hens end up in undesirable places. We have physically moved some of them to "show' them it will work but the hens still bicker between each other. I have had chickens for many years but this is the first time I have seen roosting problems. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Is it possible to add another roost ? Chickens squabble for choice spots at roosting time.

I did extend the roost. They are White Leghorns. I have never had these before. Maybe it is their nature. None of my other chickens over the years did this.
