I received 12 eggs from a neighbor of my sister’s. They have 2 Welsh Harlequin females, 1 Appleyard female and supposedly 1 male Appleyard. They also had a 3 month old female Welsh Harlequin/Appleyard cross that they had hatched from one of their eggs. I got to see them all and concur with what they were saying. However the babies that came out of these eggs are making me question what the parents might be mixed with. 3 of the babies look like a typical Welsh or Appleyard baby but 4 look like.. Rouens to me? What do you all think?

7 have hatched and we still have 5 good eggs either in process or starting. Hopefully I can get more of an idea when those hatch too.

Barnyard ducks will always surprise you with colors. That is part of the joy in hatching them.
