Can someone tell me if that chicken is a girl or boy , and how good they are at laying...thx all!
 
Really wow ! I can't keep a rooster in my urban area...but I'd like to, there's a collar they sell to stop the crowing on the roosters, with no harm to them.

I'm not completely sure - you might want to post in the "What Breed Or Gender Is This?" Section. It just seems like it's growing a saddle....
 
Rooster. But please confirm by posting on the "what breed or gender is this," thread. The jury is out on "no crow" collars. sometimes they work, sometimes not at all. Some birds have been injured, the collars were too loose and they got foot stuck trying to scratch it off. Other times the collars were much to tight and bird collapsed.
