I've had this hen for almost a year now, I bought her at a swap for 5 bucks. She's probably my favorite hen in the flock, lays really big (for her size) cream colored eggs almost every day, is very smart (for a chicken), and is a great forager. I've narrowed it down to a few breed-wise, but I wanted to know what you guys thought.

Her legs are slate grey, and she lays medium sized cream colored eggs. That's her next to my bantam cochin rooster, keep in mind he's really big and doesn't really fit the standard for size.

Probably a Dutch bantam mix.

I was thinking dutch bantam too. See the young chicken in the backround of the second picture with the speckles? His feathers have this weird silver double lacing on them almost... his hackles are starting to come in gold. Anywho, thats her son. I don't know if that helps at all. One of her babies hatched a red color unlike any chick I've had. Unfortunately it drowned at only a few days old.

edit to add pics of it, not sure if it would help determine breed

The reddish baby in the middle is hers, he was so cool in the sunlight. Two others in the pic are hers.
