Not sure what is wrong..can chickens throw up

I have a blue laced Wyandotte that is not eating much but is drinking. She has had green (grass colored) loose stool and is not moving around much but still seems herself. I went ot give her some nutra drench tonight and it was as if she threw up water (Her water was down some). Any thoughts

I don't think chickens can vomit. I'm pretty sure its a one way trip down the gullet. Maybe another member can provide more insight.

If liquid is coming up, that means that it's sitting in her crop and not going down. That can happen if there is an intestinal infection that stops the gut from working properly, like coccidiosis or bacterial infections.

If the crop has just gone sour for some reason (eating moldy food or leaves?) then it can also stop emptying properly.

Either way, you need to isolate her so you can figure out what is going on - is she eating anything? Does the crop full of liquid go down overnight?

Does the liquid smell nasty? If so, her crop may be "sour". This would be a fungal infection, usually yeast. I would recommend adding Apple Cider Vinegar to her water ASAP, as the only water source. In fact, if it is sour crop, I would see if you can get a couple of ml of straight ACV down her throat. You can dribble it in her beak, or you can hold her beak open and squirt it down her throat - just make sure you are PAST the tongue (their breathing hole is under their tongue).

If she just "puked" once, I wouldn't worry, as the crop can get overfull of liquid and if it is bumped or pressed the liquid can be pushed out. But you mentioned diarrhea and green color, which is usually excess bile due to not eating enough. So SOMETHING else is going on.

See if some ACV helps straighten her out, and let us know on the smell of the crop (her breath). If it stays full and squishy, it's probably sour.

Thanks for your help. It actually is not sour. Gave her some nutra drench and alectrolytes. Have not checked her. She is isolated as she is a show chick

UPDATE:

Cleaned her cage, gave her two doses of nutra drench had her in the sun (it was really nice yesterday) Brought her in and two hours later she was gone.
