Not sure what I've gotten myself into- New Question P2!

Did it look like a baby one of these?

SCG- they were almost rectangular in shape. Smaller than a grain of rice. I'm beginning to think I hallucinated because I havaen't seen anything since. The stuff you said you give with the mealworm~ can than be given while her new feathers are growing in?

Why wouldn't you be able to give it as the feathers are growing in? You do, however, want to wait about 10 days after the Wazine.

And now that power's back up... breakfast (yeah, email's most important)!

If you have peas to give her those are a great source of protein. I bought a bag of split peas and soaked them in water and gave them to my molting hens. Also, after the Wazine, give her a mix of molasses in water, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, applesauce, yogurt, and whatever feed you're giving her. Mix it into a wet mash. Give it to her as one meal for 2-3 days after she has had the Wazine. Molasses flushes the system, oatmeal soothes, they love the eggs, applesauce flushes and balances bacteria as does the yogurt.
We just treated our pullets with Wazine. They really did love this mix of "stuff". After 2 days of it they were pooping pretty normal again too. Plus, make sure you take her water away the night before you give her the Wazine. Then mix it and give it to her first thing in the morning.

Hopefully she just needs alot of TLC. Poor thing! I hope she's ok!!!!

Having a good morning. Night time poops were solid, and she seems to have more energy this morning.
She got out in the sun for a few minutes yesterday, immediately flopped down to soak it all in.

We came up with a name for her yesterday. All of our chicken names are food-related. Since her left middle toe is messed up, and she looks like she's somebody's leftovers after being attacked, we've started calling her 'Lefty'.

I've been giving her yogurt and oatmeal at breakfast (with her crumbles mixed in, and a couple berries for flavor), an egg around lunchtime, and more yogurt with a baby aspirin in it at bedtime. She thinks she is in heaven.

I still can't get over how mellow she is. Yesterday she sat on my lap and let me file the toenail on that crooked toe. It was getting too long and looked like it would catch on something if I didn't file it down. She didn't move or pull away at all! Even my dogs aren't that well behaved! I'm sure as she starts feeling better she'll be less tolerant.

Thank you all for your help!

Aww. Lefty is certainly a keeper. I knew I loved Barred Rocks. They have such a sweet disposition and when I have a broody hen I always try to put a few BR eggs to hatch. Had 3 this summer. They are mixed with my Delaware roo Jack, but are sweet birds. 1 boy and 1 girl so far, not sure of the 3rd yet.

Are you keeping the chicken food out for her at all times? I am sure you are but I would try to give her more protein to help her pick up some weight.

Give her some hugs and boy is she the LUCKIEST girl to have found you.

I sure hope the people you got her from worms their chickens as you have done.
