Not sure what's wrong with this hen?

As you can see in the photos, she has what looks like a tumor on her front. I thought at first that she had lost her feathers there because my rooster was too rough with her. That is definitely why she is missing feathers on the back of her neck. But now that this has been about 2 months, and it has gotten larger without the feathers growing back, I am thinking it is a tumor of some sort.

She is walking funny, looks overweight, but otherwise appears to be healthy.

Any thoughts?

How old is she, and does the mass feel solid or squishy?

She's about 3YO (got her and her 2 sisters on Craig's List, so we can't be certain). And the mass feels solid, not real hard, but definitely not squishy.

This hen is still looking otherwise healthy, and the mass has not gotten any larger, but not any smaller either. Nobody knows what this might be?

We never did figure out what was wrong with her. The mass did not change in size until about 2 weeks ago when it deflated, and she got very sick and died within about 24 hours.

Do chickens get cancerous tumors?
