not sure where it belongs, got a question

i have a hen that wont leave her nest box but to eat ........ the box is at ground level ....she stopped roosting with the other hens , and now spends all her time in the nest box !!! im guessing she is broody , however , is it normal for them to spend the night in the nest box ? she lets me take her out , but will run right back to the nestbox !!! i just wanna be sure she isnt sick or something .. oh yeah she didnt do it last spring ...

Sounds broody to me...... Does that mean that you are going to get some fertile eggs and let her hatch chicks.... (chicken math).

i might give it a shot ...... not really ready for chicks , but im gonna try it !!

I know exactly what you mean...but if you can get the hen to do all the work..... why not try? Good luck with it. ;O)
