Not sure why ducklings are dying :(

zip is so cute! 🥰 thanks for sharing a picture! As for the other smaller one to me, it sounds like you’re doing the right thing. I don’t have much experience with hatching eggs, except the eggs that were under my chicken and my goose. I didn’t ever use an incubator so I don’t really know, but I’ve read a lot of posts on here and it sounds good what you’re doing. i hope she absorbs the yolk and fluffs up nicely for you. maybe @KathiQuacks can give hatching advice
I would keep it in the cup like you have it and hopefully the yolk will be absorbed soon. My one like that absorbed it's yolk in just a few hours so hopefully yours will too. Good Luck with this little one and your other one is Gorgeous!!!!

Hello one hatched the day before yesterday and the other isn't doing so well :( I currently have him in the incubator in his lower half of his shell because the yolk hasn't absorbed and I can't tell if it's ruptured or not. He's in a little cup with a damp paper towel underneath holding him in place so I hope he will be okay! He looks quite small compared to the other one but I think it's because his feathers aren't fluffed up. Any ideas what I could do? This is zip haha I thought it was a fitting name 😆
How’s the baby doing today?

Hey he seems to be doing good. He never seemed to be in any distress with that stuff coming out of his stomach so I left him in the incubator to fluff up which he did! Now he's in the brooder with his brother/sister and they are cuddling 😃 he's eating and drinking I gave him some water with nutritional yeast in for niacin and the abcess/growth or whatever it is has dried up significantly and only has a small red bit there now. I am hopeful he'll be okay he just seems alot smaller than the other one.

that’s great news! i would try sprinkle the nutritional yeast in the food rather than the water, that way they get to eat all of it.
i’m glad they are doing well 🥳

Thank you! I'm happy he's still going 😇 good tip Thank you ill put some in there now I also fed him a little bit of it out of my hand. Do you think I should leave the thing hanging off his stomach or do I do something about it? I'll take a photo of him soon
