Not Urgent - Silkie Hens - Teading Marks

I posted this in the managing your flock thread and no one answered. I have a small Silkie flock - 4 hens 1 roo. Bought them established. 3 out of 4 hens have no feathers on the backs of their heads and bare spots on the wings. The hen that has feathers isnt a bully, she is actually last in the pecking order, she is a bigger framed bird than the others.
My question is - can Silkie breeding hens have beautiful crests or is that unrealistic? Do I need a new Rooster?

I would either buy some more hens or find a way to prevent the rooster from ripping out leathers like a feather saddle with a hood. I don’t know if anyone makes something like that but it couldn’t possible be too difficult, I think.
