I have 20 hens that just turned a year old. They have a light in their coop and a 40x40 run to enjoy outside, and I'm only getting 4-5 eggs a day! I don't know why, but during the winter the lovely girls decided it was time to molt... I checked for mites, but they looked clean, so I don't think its' illness. They act their typical self, and get plenty of treats (fresh veggies and fruits and occasional meal worms). They're getting a laying mash and grit, so I'm very confused. They all act normal and have been enjoying the beautiful warm weather, but I'd really love some eggs! Any ideas???
