I cannot find anything about how to actually get certified AI/NPIP or how to become a tester myself. I have looked for workshops , followed leads from previous posts here , googled until I couldn't Google anymore but there's no number , email, application , nothing. Is there something I'm missing? It wouldn't be the first time! The USDA & Poultry Improvement sites seem to just lead back and forth between each other with no real info on how or what actions to take to get it done. Its all very confusing to me and I dont know where to go from here.
I'm in Louisiana. I really appreciate any info you have!

I checked out Louisiana's Ag. Dept. web page and you are definitely correct. It's mucked up with circular routing to no answers. Amazing they can pack so much stuff that almost looks helpful on their webpage. It's not just the NPIP, other program information are lacking too. Pretty looking yet useless website except providing a phone number.

Call them direct- 225.922.1234

Thank you!!! I thought I was crazy haha I was wondering how so many in La were certified if they went through that mess of a website to do so.

I looked up 4-H in LA as I was curious. My kid is in 4-H in Ohio. As expected, the LA 4-H is run through the university, as it is here, in Ohio. You can call your parish Ag extension office, if the above links do not work or give you the right info. The Ag extension agents should be able to help.

Good Luck. Lots to do in 4-H
