Numbered leg bands

I was just NPIP tested today (which went really well) and I now have to band the birds with Numbered bands. First state vet supply has just what I need however the price of shipping is more then the bands themselves and thats just a bit tooo steep for my frugal behind. SO anyone in MN know where I can buy them locally, so far federated co op only has colored bands. Could I get a sharpie and write numbers on them or will that not work? I am assuming I can get by with size 7's seeing as most of the birds I have are bantam sized. Any help would be much appreciated.

I ended up going thru cutlers supply, comparable to twin city poultry supply. It's the shipping costs that blow my mind considering I only need 25....
