Hello, I had a chick hatch 2 days after the others so she was small to begin with. Then I think someone pecked her eye, she has hardly opened it in 2 days. (no discharge or anything strange, just keeps it closed) On the first day of the injury I weighed her, she was 31 grams, in the pm. Next morning, down to 27. I started feeding yoke, yogurt and medicated chick starter. Last night she was back up to 30 grams and this am down to 28.
She does peck at the dry food a bit, she drinks the water with vitamins and antibiotics. She tends to be fairly inactive but does groom herself.
I have read about poly vi sol vitamins.... where do I get them? I am in Nova Scotia.
Anything else I can do?

It sounds like you're doing all the right things. Poly Vi Sol is a baby vitamin, I find it in the drgustore here. Be sure you get the kind without iron.

If it is already on vitamins, you may not want to add anymore.

Time and patience seem to be what's needed, good luck!

Hard boiled egg...they just love them..it's a super protein and chances are you have an extra one already. I boil them up and toss them in the food processor for a second and instant chicken food.

I have given only 2 doses of Vigamox ophthalmic antibacterial drops (for humans, prescription only) and in less than 24 hrs I find it hard to tell which is the bad eye!!!!
Also, fuzz bucket is 41 Grams!!!!!
