Oakland Rooster Adoption

Hi! Fellow Chicken Lovers!

I am Steve. I am new to all this fabulous chickenosity! And I loove it! I ended up with two roosters, one Ameracauna and one Rhodie, and they have to go asap. Any suggestions re potential adopters? I can't stand to say goodbye, I want good people who will treat them as the noble creatures they are! Thanks for any and all ideas, and GOD BLESS us all, people and chickens alike!

Welcome to BYC, Steve. Glad you decided to join our flock. You can list them on Craigslist or check with your local feed store and ask if they know someone who would like to have them. They may even have a bulletin board that you can advertise them on. Also, you can check with your local 4h. Some of the students might like to have them. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in re-homing your roosters.

Hi Steve, nice to meet you. Welcome to Backyard chickens. I'm sorry to say EVERBODY is trying to rehome roosters - very, very few are successful at finding homes for them other than on the dinner table.
