I just collected eggs today and found this on one of the eggs. Does anybody recognize what this might be. They are fresh today and only in the nest for a couple of hours... Thanks

Looks like calcium deposits. Here's an article that shows an example:

Probably just calcium deposits, but I've never seen them look like that before. It's wacky what our hens lay sometimes!

Thank you for all the replies and moving my post to the correct page. They are loose. easy to scrape off and we hadn't seen that before. You are right, there are sometimes weird eggs the girls give us. We have had hens for 40 years but hadn't come across this.. Thanks again to all.
