We just hatched some babies form eggs from my grandfather's farm. Now, he doesn't have SQ birds, but he just has layers that are more pets then anything. He does get nice quality birds from local people and doesn't mix breeds or colors for the most part. Now, I have asked him already and he has no idea where these babies came from!
We had Green Eggs from White EEers, and I expected White Muffed babies. Well about mid way though the hatch, we had the first surprises a golden red baby, then a striped brown baby, and last but not least a DARK COPPER BLACK baby! Even has black ish legs! haha I know it hatched out of a green egg, cause I watched it. Any Ideas? They are all muffed too!
Then Leghorn eggs, big huge yellow babies, with big black spots of fluff?
It doesn't really matter, just curious! I mean, we are just raising them for egg production at most!
Any ideas BYC People?
