Odd Color in Rooster's face

Thanks everyone for answering. Regarding the standard I found last night that they need to be red (any Marans breeders please correct me if I am wrong). He was not a hatchery bird. He was hatched from a breeder, supposedly good lines/dark eggs/feathered feet. If it does not go back to red I guess I will keep his brother who is a turkey to deal with but is prettier and more correct than this guy. I added vitamins to his water, now just watching and waiting.

I too was thinking that after getting on the web and pulling up the standards last night, I guess I would be more relieved if it was an issue he could get over. I am not into breeding per say, but I don't want to pass on and continue breeding a trait that is not desirable/disqualification in the breed. He is beautiful and friendly so he would be easy to rehome but I am afraid it would be in the pot, as everyone who has responded to my ads (about other hens/ his brother) wants to eat them.
