had a batch of poults hatch in the last couple of days...all are full blooded bronze and no access to any other turkeys.two of the 19 are yellow as in baby duck yellow and of course the others are typical color.. any ideas to either why or what these will end up being colored?

I'm not a turkey genetics expert, but the white in turkeys is like the recessive white in chickens. By itself, you generally can't see it but when it pairs up it masks everything else and turns the turkey white. I realized that when I was trying to figure out if the Narraqansett over Midget Whites I have are sex linked. Mine should be sex linked, but I think there is something hiding under the white in the Midget White that makes them not right.

So I think that there is a tremendously high chance that your full blooded bronze are not pure but have recessive white hiding in there. When it pairs up, you get white.

If you go way down in this link you can find the turkey calculator. Maybe you can play with it and see what I mean.
