I changed the thread name to "Odd Critter Appreciation Thread" to be more inclusive.As a crazy raccoon person, I feel ya on the opossum front, but known chicken predators will always have a bad reputation around here.
I know a few people that have rehabbed babies, and I probably would too if I were certified and one fell in my lap.
I've found that many unlikely species have redeeming qualities if you take the time to get to know them.
They can't see much during the day, being nocturnal.During the day, opossums have been are around at times, but have just been meandering through and are very slow compared to my chickens.
