My guinea has an odd tail and casque. Her tail feathers seem set back from the rest of the body leaving a tiny pink spot on her back. There is also a small feather sprouting from her casque, which almost looks like she's wearing a party hat.She acts perfectly normally, but I found it quite interesting.Does anyone else's guinea look like this?

I'll try to get pics.She looks more like a guinea though.Same coloration(pearl)as the others,same body shape,same size...Ya' know,if guinea/chicken crosses are essentailly mules,I wonder if,like in mules,the rare hen can breed back with a guinea?If so,maybe she's 75% guinea and 25% chicken?

Usually Guinea/chicken Hybrids are completely sterile (and do not live long), as far as I know... so if you mean a previous hybrid in your flock bred with another Guinea and produced your odd bird then I'd say it's really not likely. But then again anything is possible (just not probable!).

Hope you can post some pics, would love to see the bird in question.
