Odd Hen

I free range my chickens for about an hour every night. To get them back in the pen I walk out with scratch and they all come running. About a week ago I noticed while doing my head count I only had 5 BR present. When I checked the coop she had taken the corner spot on the roost. She does this every night. Never stays around for the scratch... Any idea why she thinks she has to be the first to roost? Could she actually understand she has to be there first to get her favorite spot?

My largest Buff Orpington, Queenie, is always the first into the coop. She gets her prime spot and keeps it. Yes, I do believe they have a favorite spot and they're afraid they're going to miss out on it!
