odd laying area

i have a rir that just started laying. i hope the others will start soon. she has picked a place at about 6 foot level where i store some hay. ive tried to block this off but she find a way.
my question is when i see her start to look at that area should i pick her up and put her in the nesy box which are only 3 feet off the ground. and how do get her to look at the nest boxs. the others all jump up and take a look around. (the others are 5 ee,5orps. she is the only rir)

put some fake eggs in the boxes. they like to lay where other eggs are. i like golf balls...can't peck them open.

also, make sure your nest boxes are not too bright. maybe where the hay is, it is dark and secluded?

Do you offer hay in their proper nesting boxes? Maybe she's hinting. My 9 week old chicks LOVE being around the bales I keep to help them jump around.
