Odd looking egg

Hi,

This is a hardboiled swedhish blue hen's egg. She is about 10 months old and healthy. Does anyone know why this egg looks strange or is it a "normal" defect? I didn't end up eating this egg.

Looks like maybe the air cell was on the side? Sometime they lay weird eggs. I'm actually surprised how often they normal.
