odd nester

I have a chicken that cannot physically nest, when she tries to she flops over, she has done this always, she gets mounted by the rooster but has never laid an egg, she just insists on laying on the other hens eggs so I built a log for her to lean against in order for her to be able to do that. Any thoughts?

What do you mean she 'can't nest'?
Do you mean she can't perch on the roost to sleep?
Can she stand and walk?

Very confusing...need clearer information to render any suggestions.

Ok, she can walk, only can roost when she can lean on something, it seems she can't tuck or bend her legs as normal. She gets mounted by the rooster yet never an egg, odd odd odd.
