Odd question.....

I live next to two prominate natural salt mines that market salt and clay products to the organic market. They make everything from tooth paste to seasoned salt with very minimal refining. IMHO they mechanically separate the clay from the salt and that's about it. So I was able to a quite a few lbs of this clay impregnated with salt and was thinking of putting it into the chicks water the way we put it into our drinking water. Thoughts ??

Too much salt is bad for birds. I wouldn't. Birds need fresh clean water to stay healthy.

Agreed.
Feed is usually about 0.5% salt (read your guaranteed analysis tags). That's all they need.
