Odd spot on egg

One of our hens laid an egg today with odd round spot on it the wdges of this spot look sort of wrinkled. I read the article on common egg deformities, but didnt really see a category this would fit into. From reading the other common issues, im guessing maybe, excess or lack of calcium? It doesnt feel soft.

Sometimes eggs are malformed, it's usually due to just a glitch or sometimes the hen takes a bad landing or fall, and sometimes one egg bumps into the other in the system as they are prone to releasing multiple yolks early in the spring.

That is what we call a slab-sided or flat sided egg. This happens when two eggs enter and make contact in the shell gland. More info and causes here:
