OE mix with BPR

already posted once in this thread.. heres another question... OE mama Barred Plymouth Rock Daddy.. these are the babies hatched today.. please tell me this doesn't mean they are all Roos. (Read that with Plymouth Barred rocks' a white spot means roos) but since these are mised with OE Hen.. that dosn't necessarily mean anything these babies right? Please tell me these are not all roos!! born today

Nope, not all roosters. That would be the reverse cross, when the hen was barred and the rooster was not. Then, the males would have the white head spot and be barred, and the females would have a solid dark head and be not barred.

The white spot on the head just means the chick carries the barring gene. That's totally to be expected from a barred Rock father.....if he's pure, all his chicks will look like this.
