Yes, that is okay. 2 for 5 hens would even be okay.

You probably want at least 2 nesting boxes regardless of how few hens you have, but beyond that, the general rule of thumb is one box for every 4 hens. We have about 12 nesting boxes for our hens, and they all tend to want to lay in the same couple of boxes--sometimes we'll even find them crowded into a box together, laying eggs on top of each other.
