Hello All,
I have a 4 month old Delaware cockerel. Over the past few weeks I have noticed something is a little "off" about him. He is the largest chicken in my flock and is very active/crows/begs for treats/etc. When I look at him, it is almost like his body is leaning to one side. The weird thing is that it will change sides. At first I thought his back was crooked or something but it changes from minute to minute. Today I noticed when he was walking that he would kind of get off balance and walk more to one side and have to correct himself.
He is vaccinated for Mareks and is eating the last bag of Purina medicated grower feed before I switch the flock over to flock raiser until they start laying.
He is drinking water with poultry electrolytes, changed daily. It is hot here but he is in the shade and I turn on the mister whenever it gets over 100. They don't seem too heat stressed as there is minimal panting.
There are no other symptoms besides the off balance issue. His nose and eyes are clear, he is active and alert, breathing normally. His poop looks normal and solid. What else?
Do you guys have any idea what this can be?
